I am a clinical counsellor, marital therapist and couple counsellor.
I specialise in helping couples deal with their relationship problems.
Whilst I work alongside individuals who are coping with the end of their relationships through separation divorce and bereavement, I spend most of my time helping couples to recreate the healthy, loving relationships they wanted when they first got together.
I have worked with couples for over twenty years. I joined Relate, the UK's leading couple counselling charity in 1992 and worked with them until 2003 when I set up my own Private Practice in Hinckley town centre.
I think that most of us experience at least one rocky patch in our relationships. For some couples this can happen in the very early days and for others after years of marriage.
Each couple who comes to see me has a unique story and situation and I always address their specific needs:
Thank you for considering my counselling service.
Within the site I have listed full details of my qualifications and experience as well as frequently asked questions, so that you can make an informed decision about your choice of a counsellor.
I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, a member of the Institute of Transactional Analysis and the European Association of Transactional Analysis.
Earlier in 2012, I was awarded the BACP Certificate of Proficiency during a pilot testing scheme, which was trialled by a sample group of eligible BACP qualified counsellors. This means that I am now an early member of the UK's national regulatory body, the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care (PSA).
I enjoy working with couples very much and believe everyone has a right to a healthy and happy relationship. One of the most special and rewarding aspects of my job is to see couples repair, and grow together their relationship.
